UAE, Germany Discuss Strategic Relations and Regional Security Developments

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Alexander Dobrindt to discuss strategic relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Germany and explore ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors.

During the meeting, Sheikh Abdullah affirmed that UAE-German relations are built on strong foundations of mutual trust and constructive partnership, noting that the ties between the two countries represent a distinguished model of fruitful cooperation in multiple fields.

The talks also covered the latest regional developments, including the repercussions of what the UAE described as Iranian terrorist attacks targeting civilian sites and facilities in the country using missiles and drones.

The two sides further discussed drone attacks launched from Iraqi territory, including an attack targeting the Barakah Nuclear Energy Plant last Sunday, which reportedly struck an electricity generator outside the plant’s inner perimeter.

Minister Dobrindt expressed Germany’s solidarity with the UAE and condemned the attacks. Sheikh Abdullah, in turn, thanked Germany for its supportive stance and affirmed that all residents and visitors in the UAE remain safe.

The meeting was attended by Lana Zaki Nusseibeh, Saeed Mubarak Al Hajeri, and Ahmed Wahib Al Attar.
