UAE, Lebanese Presidents Discuss Bilateral Ties, Regional Developments in Phone Call

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun held a telephone conversation on Saturday to discuss bilateral relations, regional developments, and efforts to promote peace and stability in the Middle East.
According to an official statement, the two leaders reviewed ways to further strengthen cooperation between the United Arab Emirates and Lebanon in support of the shared interests of both countries and the prosperity and wellbeing of their peoples.
The discussion also focused on the latest developments in Lebanon, including ongoing efforts to reinforce the country’s security, stability, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
During the call, President Joseph Aoun expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s continued support for Lebanon and its people, and conveyed his best wishes for the UAE’s continued progress and prosperity.
The two presidents also exchanged views on a number of regional issues of mutual interest, with particular emphasis on the evolving situation in the Middle East. They stressed the importance of sustained efforts to enhance regional security and stability and to advance peace in support of the development and prosperity of the region’s nations and peoples.
