UAE, Pakistan Strengthen Ties as President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Meets PM Shehbaz Sharif in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed His Excellency Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, who is on a working visit to the United Arab Emirates to participate in the World Governments Summit 2025.

The summit, held in Dubai under the theme ‘Shaping Future Governments,’ serves as a global platform to explore governance trends and strategies for enhancing governmental readiness in addressing global transformations.

During their meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif discussed avenues for deepening cooperation between the UAE and Pakistan. The leaders explored opportunities to enhance bilateral relations, particularly in economic, trade, and development sectors, in alignment with their shared vision for sustainable economic growth and prosperity.

Their discussions also underscored the significance of the World Governments Summit in identifying global governance trends and formulating actionable strategies to bolster government preparedness. Both sides acknowledged the need to harness these shifts to accelerate development and build a more prosperous future.

Additionally, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif exchanged views on a range of regional and international matters of mutual concern, with a particular focus on developments in the Middle East. They emphasized the importance of intensified international efforts to foster a comprehensive and lasting peace based on the two-state solution, ensuring regional security, stability, and prosperity.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its longstanding ties with the UAE and expanding cooperation, particularly in economic, trade, and investment sectors, in accordance with the developmental priorities of both nations.
