UAE President Receives Expo 2025 Osaka Pavilion Team, Commends Global Achievement
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the team behind the UAE Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan, and praised their outstanding contribution to presenting the nation’s vision, values, and achievements on the global stage.
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohamed discussed with the delegation their experiences and the valuable insights gained through participation in the international exhibition. He commended the dedication and professionalism of everyone involved in the pavilion’s success, noting that their efforts effectively showcased the UAE’s inspiring development journey while fostering meaningful international connections and ambitious partnerships that support the country’s future aspirations.
The President also congratulated the team on the UAE Pavilion’s Gold Award at the iF Design Award 2026 in the Interior Architecture – Trade Fairs/Temporary Exhibitions category. He wished the delegation continued success and excellence in representing the UAE on the global stage.
Members of the delegation expressed pride in representing the UAE at Expo 2025 Osaka, describing the pavilion as an important platform for highlighting the country’s core values, rich cultural heritage, and forward-looking ambitions. They noted that the pavilion reflected the UAE’s commitment to strengthening its position as a global hub for creativity, innovation, and shaping the future.
Designed under the supervision of Her Highness Sheikha Mariam bint Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairperson of the Presidential Court for National Projects, the UAE Pavilion embodied the concept of progress as a continuous human journey connecting cultural heritage and knowledge with scientific discovery and future aspirations.
Inspired by the date palm and presented under the theme “Earth to Ether,” the pavilion reinterpreted the traditional Emirati arish palm-frond house through a contemporary architectural vision. The design combined the UAE’s deep-rooted cultural traditions with its future ambitions while drawing upon the principles of traditional Emirati architecture.

General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior; His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Advisor to the UAE President, along with a number of sheikhs, senior officials, citizens, and guests.
