UAE President, Russian President Discuss Strategic Cooperation and Regional Developments

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President of the Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received a telephone call from President of Russia Vladimir Putin, during which both leaders reviewed various aspects of bilateral cooperation and explored ways to further strengthen the strategic partnership between the two countries.

During the conversation, President Putin expressed appreciation for the continued mediation efforts undertaken by the United Arab Emirates in facilitating prisoner exchanges between Russia and Ukraine. He underscored the humanitarian significance of these efforts and their positive impact on ongoing diplomatic engagements.

The two sides also exchanged views on several regional and international developments of mutual concern, with particular focus on the situation in the Middle East and its implications for regional and global peace and security.

Discussions further covered concerns related to the safety of international navigation, global energy security, and the broader impact of geopolitical developments on the world economy. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to continued coordination on issues of shared interest.
