Ukraine’s Rudniev Claims UAE Warriors 71 Title in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Ukrainian fighter Vladyslav Rudniev secured the main event title at the 71st edition of the UAE Warriors mixed martial arts championship after defeating Armenia’s Marton Mezhlumyan via first-round submission at the Space 42 Arena in Al Raha Beach, Abu Dhabi.
The trophy was presented to the champion by Sheikh Zayed bin Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan in the presence of Abdulmunem Al Hashemi, Chairman of the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation (UAEJJF), President of the Jiu-Jitsu Asian Union (JJAU), and Senior Vice President of the International Jiu-Jitsu Federation (JJIF), along with Saleh Mohamed Al Geziry, Director General for Tourism at the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi.
The 71st edition of the championship featured 10 high-intensity bouts along with the “Proud of the Emirates” fan activation event.
In the co-main event, Zimbabwe’s Sylvester Chipfumbu captured the featherweight title after defeating Albania’s Vilson Ndregjoni by judges’ decision.
