US and Iran Reach Peace Accord, Signing Ceremony Set for June 19: PM Shehbaz

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that a peace agreement has been reached between the United States and Iran following prolonged and significant negotiations between the two countries.

In a statement, the Prime Minister said that the formal signing ceremony of the agreement will take place in Switzerland on June 19.

Shehbaz Sharif appreciated the constructive role played by Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye in facilitating the agreement and supporting efforts aimed at achieving regional stability and peace.

He stated that both parties have agreed to immediately and permanently cease military operations on all fronts as part of the accord.

The Prime Minister further said that the agreement includes a commitment to halt hostilities across all theatres, including Lebanon, marking a significant step toward de-escalation and lasting peace in the region.

Shehbaz Sharif expressed hope that the agreement would contribute to regional security, stability and diplomatic cooperation, while opening a new chapter in relations between the concerned parties.
