US envoy calls on Pak Naval Chief
Karachi, The Gulf Observer: US Ambassador to Pakistan Mr Donald Blome called on Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi at Karachi during the ongoing Multinational Exercise AMAN 23. During the meeting matters of mutual interest, regional maritime security and bilateral collaboration were discussed. The dignitaries renewed the resolve to enhance maritime cooperation and defence collaboration between the two countries.
It merits to mention here that the 8th Multinational Maritime Exercise AMAN-2023 commenced on February 12 with a remarkable and vibrant flag hoisting ceremony at Pakistan Navy Dockyard, Karachi.

The opening was marked with simultaneous hoisting of flags of all the participating nations. Chief of Naval Staff, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi in his message warmly welcomed the participants by stating that the objective of the exercise was to create a secure and favorable maritime environment .
Chief of the Naval Staff during his visit to foreign ships of navies participating in the exercise and mentioned that Pakistan is effectively contributing in peace and stability in the region. AMAN Exercise demonstrates Pakistan’s commitment to peace, reinforce regional maritime security and enhance interoperability between regional and extra regional navies. The Admiral appreciated their participation in AMAN Exercise to fulfill common resolve of “Together for Peace”. The exercise is to be concluded on Tuesday.
