Uzbek FM attends meeting of Council of FMs of SCO in New York
New York, The Gulf Observer: The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, who is in New York City, took part in an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
“As part of the 78th session of the UN General Assembly, together with our colleagues from Belarus, China, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan held an extraordinary meeting of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Foreign Ministers Council in New York City, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. – We underlined the leading role of the Organization as an effective international structure in resolving the most acute issues on the regional agenda and exchanged views on the modernization of the SCO based on the decisions of the Heads of State at the Samarkand Summit, as well as the prospects for interaction with the United Nations”.
