According to the resolution, this significant milestone will be widely celebrated in October 2024, honoring the legacy of the renowned Islamic scholar.

The resolution outlines a comprehensive program to ensure a high-level celebration, including the preparation and publication of a multi-volume academic translation and commentary of Imam Tirmidhi’s works, “Ash-Shama’il al-Muhammadiyya” and “Sunan Tirmidhi.” These works will be presented based on the Maturidi doctrine and the Hanafi interpretation, reflecting the deep-rooted Islamic traditions.

One of the key highlights of the celebration will be the organization of an international scientific-practical conference in Tashkent in October 2024, under the theme “Islam – A Religion of Peace and Goodness.” In addition, a related international scientific-practical conference will be held in Termez, focusing on “The Role of Imam Tirmidhi’s Scientific Legacy in Islamic Civilization.”

In the lead-up to these events, a national scientific-practical conference on “The Scientific and Spiritual Heritage of Termez Scholars: Past and Present” will take place at Termez State University and the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan in September-October 2024. This conference will be accompanied by a competition for scientific articles that delve into Imam Tirmidhi’s life and scholarly contributions.

Furthermore, the Muslim Board of Uzbekistan is encouraged to organize a competition titled “Hadith Expert on Imam Tirmidhi’s Works” among imams and students of religious educational institutions. The winners of this competition will receive appropriate recognition and rewards.
