Uzbekistan Delegation Participates in 10th UN Alliance of Civilizations Global Forum
Cascais, The Gulf Observer: A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhromjon Aloyev, participated in the 10th United Nations Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC) Global Forum, held in Cascais, Portugal. The forum brought together international representatives to address pressing regional and global issues and discuss the UNAOC’s strategic priorities for the near and long term, the Uzbekistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
During the forum, Deputy Minister Aloyev highlighted Uzbekistan’s commitment to the UNAOC’s mission, emphasizing the Alliance’s critical role in advancing the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. He reiterated Uzbekistan’s dedication to fostering cultural diversity, mutual understanding, and cooperation between civilizations.
Aloyev also announced that Uzbekistan will host two significant international events in 2025: the 43rd session of the UNESCO General Conference and the 150th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union. These events aim to serve as platforms for promoting cultural dialogue, intercultural understanding, and collaboration among nations.
Uzbekistan’s active participation in the UNAOC Global Forum reflects its broader efforts to contribute to global peace, cultural diversity, and sustainable development.
