Uzbekistan, EU discuss prospects for multi sector cooperation

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Head of the Department for Cooperation with European Countries and EU Institutions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Oybek Shakhavdinov, met in Brussels with the EU Special Representative for Central Asia Terhi Hakala, according to media reports.

During the conversation, the current state and prospects of relations between Uzbekistan and the European Union in the political, trade-economic and investment spheres, in the field of education and scientific research were discussed.

An exchange of views also took place on the schedule and agenda of the upcoming bilateral and interregional events at various levels.

The parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen the constructive dialogue in various areas.
