The Prime Minister stressed the importance of Meta’s role in ensuring the safety of social media users by coordinating with local authorities to prevent the spread of toxic information, advertisements for illegal services, and online fraud. He urged Meta to adhere to local laws, including tax regulations, while expanding its operations in the country.
Chính reiterated Vietnam’s focus on three strategic breakthroughs: institutional reforms, human resource development, and infrastructure modernisation, with particular emphasis on digital infrastructure. He encouraged Meta to collaborate closely with Vietnam in pursuing these goals and to operate effectively in the country for the long term.
