World Congress on Rehabilitation 2024 Begins in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The World Congress on Rehabilitation (WCR) 2024 commenced in Abu Dhabi under the theme “Work and Employment,” focusing on addressing global challenges faced by People of Determination in the job market. The congress is held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khalid bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination (ZHO), and aims to raise awareness of the rights and contributions of People of Determination in the global development process.
The event, taking place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) until September 25, 2024, is organized by the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination in partnership with RI Global and the International Social Security Association (ISSA).
Marking the first time the congress is held in the Middle East, the event has attracted over 500 participants from more than 70 countries, including leading experts, academics, and researchers specializing in rehabilitation and healthcare. The Congress provides a platform to discuss innovative solutions and strategies for ensuring equal opportunities and employment rights for People of Determination worldwide.
This global gathering is a significant step towards advancing inclusion, empowerment, and accessibility for People of Determination in the workforce.
