Death toll rises to 41 as violence rocks Gaza

Gaza, The Gulf Observer: The death toll from violence in Gaza has risen to 41 on Sunday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said.

Israel launched a military operation on Friday which it says targets Islamic Jihad positions.

The campaign is the biggest flare-up between Israel and Gaza since an 11-day conflict in May 2021 left more than 200 Palestinians and a dozen Israelis dead.

According to press and media, Israel and Palestinian militants had agreed to a truce in Gaza from Sunday evening as mediated by Cairo.
