Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Under the patronage of Lt. General H.H. Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, officially opened the 10th session of the Education Interface Exhibition and the Middle East Youth Conference at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre’s Marina Hall today.

Themed “Education and Sustainability,” this two-day event marks the bronze jubilee of the exhibition, celebrating its 10th anniversary. The opening ceremony saw the attendance of several distinguished guests, including Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid, Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai; Rashed Lahej Al Mansouri, Director General of the General Administration of Abu Dhabi Customs; Sana Mohammed Suhail, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority; and Salama Ajlan Al-Amimi, Director-General of the Community Contributions Authority, Ma’an. Other notable attendees included Nafi Ali Al Hammadi, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector at the Zayed Higher Organisation for People of Determination; Dr. Moza Saeed Al Badi, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Education Interface Exhibition; along with officials, community leaders, directors of participating academic institutions, and sponsors.

In his opening address, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak emphasized the UAE’s commitment to education and youth empowerment, aligning with the vision of the nation’s leadership. He highlighted that the future belongs to those with knowledge and advanced sciences, and investing in Emirati education is crucial for sustainable development. The exhibition is a testament to the UAE’s ongoing efforts to enhance education and pave new paths for future generations.

The 10th edition of the Education Interface Exhibition and the Middle East Youth Conference showcases 65 educational bodies, representing approximately 537 local, regional, and international universities, as well as various governmental and private educational institutions from the UAE and abroad. Participating countries include the US, UK, Canada, Malaysia, Australia, and the UAE.

Dr. Moza Saeed Al Badi confirmed that the exhibition continues to fulfill its strategic goals, shaping the future for UAE youth by presenting significant educational opportunities, advanced scientific fields, and future professions and skills. She remarked, “Today, we celebrate the bronze jubilee, underscoring the exhibition’s sustained success and its role in providing essential services and facilities to students in the UAE.”

The Middle East Youth Conference, held alongside the exhibition, features discussion panels and innovative labs with contributions from government officials, experts, specialists, and academics from both public and private sectors. On the first day, Hessa bint Issa Buhumaid spoke on empowering youth in government work, while Jamal Buhwaireb, Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation, presented on “Sustainability in Knowledge.” Dr. Wadima Ghanem Al Dhaheri, a member of the Board of Directors of Bin Hamoodah Group and a faculty member at Mohammed bin Zayed University for the Humanities, addressed youth empowerment and private sector participation. Noura Al Rayasi, Head of Talent, Institutional Development and Emiratisation at First Abu Dhabi Bank, also contributed to the discussion on youth empowerment.

The event continues to serve as a significant platform for fostering educational and professional growth, reinforcing the UAE’s dedication to building a sustainable and knowledge-driven future.
