SFD CEO Signs $14M Loan Agreement with Kosovo

Pristina, The Gulf Observer: In a significant step towards enhancing infrastructure and fostering socio-economic growth, the CEO of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Sultan Al-Marshad, signed a development loan agreement worth over $14 million with Kosovo’s Minister of Finance, Labor, and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, on Monday.
The loan, designated for the Pristina-Mitrovica Highway Project, aims to improve essential road services and elevate road safety standards. According to an official report on SFD’s account on X, the project will benefit approximately 27,000 vehicles daily.
The Pristina-Mitrovica Highway Project is expected to significantly enhance infrastructure by rehabilitating crucial road services. Beyond the immediate improvements to transportation, the project is anticipated to create numerous job opportunities, thereby supporting broader social development in the region.
Minister Murati expressed gratitude for the support, emphasizing the positive impact on the local economy and community. This collaboration highlights the ongoing partnership between Kosovo and Saudi Arabia in pursuing sustainable development goals.
