Saudi, Egyptian Ministers Discuss Islamic Cooperation in Cairo

Cairo, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance Sheikh Abdullatif bin Abdulaziz Al Al-Sheikh met with Egyptian Minister of Endowments Osama Al-Azhari in Cairo on Saturday, NHC reported. The meeting, also attended by Saudi Ambassador to Egypt Saleh bin Eid Al-Husseini, marked the start of Sheikh Al Al-Sheikh’s official visit to Egypt, where he is leading the Kingdom’s delegation at the 35th International Conference of the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs.

The discussions between the two ministers centered on strengthening cooperation in various fields to advance Islamic work and promote shared values. Minister Al-Azhari expressed his appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s active participation in the conference, acknowledging the Kingdom’s pivotal role in Islamic affairs and its efforts in promoting tolerance, moderation, and balanced discourse.

The conference, held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, will take place on Sunday and Monday. It will feature over 100 participants, including ministers, muftis, and representatives of Islamic organizations from more than 60 countries.
