Leyla Aliyeva Leads Clean-Up Initiative on Kurdakhani Lake Shore

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and founder and head of the IDEA Public Union, took part in a significant environmental clean-up action on the shore of the lake in Kurdakhani. The event, which was organized as part of the “Green World Solidarity Year,” saw the active participation of numerous IDEA volunteers.

Equipped with the necessary sanitary supplies, the participants collected a substantial amount of garbage, focusing particularly on plastic waste, which has become an increasing environmental threat. The primary aim of the clean-up was to enhance environmental cleanliness, prevent littering in areas critical to the country’s biodiversity, and encourage collective public efforts to safeguard nature.

Addressing the volunteers, Leyla Aliyeva emphasized the importance of such initiatives in promoting a cleaner environment and the need for continuous public engagement in tackling environmental challenges. “Our efforts today are a step towards ensuring the well-being of both current and future generations. It is crucial that we all remain mindful of nature’s gifts and work together to protect our planet,” she stated.

The IDEA Public Union continues to call on all citizens to unite in addressing the many environmental issues facing our world, reinforcing the importance of community involvement in preserving natural resources for the future.
