Türkiye Condemns Israeli FM Katz’s Slanderous Remarks
Ankara, The Gulf Observer: The Turkish government has strongly condemned a recent social media post by Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz, describing it as “lies and slander” aimed at Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the nation of Türkiye.
In an official statement issued on Saturday, Turkish authorities dismissed Katz’s credibility, asserting that even within the Israeli government led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his standing is questionable. The statement further accused Netanyahu’s government of being historically associated with crimes against humanity, leaving “a dark stain on history.”
The Turkish government suggested that Katz’s remarks were an attempt to remain relevant by targeting social media users in Türkiye, in what it described as a bid to secure his position within a “genocide network.”
Türkiye reaffirmed its commitment to truth and to defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, despite what it characterized as baseless attacks.
“The Turkish government will continue to stand resolutely in support of Palestinian rights and the pursuit of justice,” the statement emphasized, reiterating its long-standing stance on the Palestinian cause.
