Saudi Health Minister Meets Cuban President to Strengthen Health Sector Cooperation

Havana, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Health, Fahad Al-Jalajel, met with Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez during an official visit to the Caribbean nation, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the health sector.
Both sides explored opportunities to increase bilateral and multilateral coordination in healthcare, aimed at benefiting the health and well-being of their respective populations. Minister Al-Jalajel expressed appreciation for Cuba’s advancements in healthcare, emphasizing the importance of deepening collaboration to achieve sustainable development and shared prosperity in the sector.
Accompanying Minister Al-Jalajel was a high-level delegation from Saudi Arabia, while the Cuban Minister of Public Health, Dr. Jose Angel Portal Miranda, also attended the discussions, along with several senior officials from both nations. The talks underscored the mutual commitment to strengthening health ties and addressing common challenges in pursuit of better health outcomes for both countries.
