U.S.-China Political Dialogue 2024 Held in Shenzhen
Shenzhen, The Gulf Observer: The U.S.-China Political Dialogue 2024 took place on Sunday in Shenzhen, under the theme “Cooperation and Challenge under New Circumstances: The Path Forward for China-U.S. Relations.” The dialogue featured candid, profound, and constructive communications between the two sides, aiming to address both the opportunities and challenges in the bilateral relationship.
Liu Jianchao, head of the International Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, attended the event and delivered a key speech, emphasizing the importance of stabilizing and enhancing China-U.S. relations.
The two sides agreed that a stable, healthy, and sustainable relationship between China and the United States serves the common interests of both nations and aligns with the global expectations of the international community. Both parties reaffirmed the importance of maintaining contact and communication, managing differences constructively, and deepening mutually beneficial cooperation. They also emphasized the need to promote cultural and people-to-people exchanges and uphold their responsibilities as major countries in fostering world peace and development.
While acknowledging the multi-dimensional and complex nature of the China-U.S. relationship, the two sides expressed confidence in the strong resilience of their bilateral ties despite uncertainties.
Both parties agreed to continue their political dialogue to strengthen mutual understanding and cooperation, setting a path forward for a balanced and constructive future in the relationship between China and the United States.
