UAE President and Turkish Foreign Minister Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Relations
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Turkish Foreign Minister His Excellency Hakan Fidan on Wednesday to discuss enhancing cooperation across various sectors, reflecting the strategic partnership between the United Arab Emirates and the Republic of Türkiye.
During the meeting, Hakan Fidan conveyed greetings from Turkish President His Excellency Recep Tayyip Erdogan, along with his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the UAE. In return, Sheikh Mohamed extended his regards to President Erdogan, expressing hopes for Türkiye’s sustained growth and development.
The discussions also focused on developments in the Middle East, with both sides emphasizing the importance of intensifying efforts to prevent the escalation of regional conflicts. They stressed the need to chart a clear path to peace, ensuring security and stability for all nations in the region.
In addition, the leaders addressed the situation in Syria, reaffirming their shared commitment to the country’s sovereignty, stability, and territorial integrity. They underscored their joint support for the Syrian people’s aspirations for security, stability, and development.
The meeting was attended by key Emirati officials, including H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for National Security, and Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar, UAE Minister of State.
This engagement highlights the commitment of both nations to strengthening their strategic partnership and addressing pressing regional challenges collaboratively.
