Azerbaijan’s Economic Council Holds Meeting on Socio-Economic Development and Action Plan for 2025

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Ali Asadov chaired a significant meeting of Azerbaijan’s Economic Council on January 27, focusing on the tasks outlined in President Ilham Aliyev’s recent interview with local TV channels on January 7. The agenda included a review of the country’s socio-economic development indicators for 2024 and discussions on the Economic Council’s Action Plan for 2025.
Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov and Executive Director of the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication Vusal Gasimli addressed the meeting, providing updates on key initiatives. Additionally, the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Fuad Najafli, and the Chairman of the State Customs Committee Shahin Bagirov discussed the ongoing efforts to establish Free Economic Zones in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
The meeting concluded with the adoption of decisions on the issues discussed, along with instructions directed to the relevant bodies to ensure progress on the outlined objectives.
