Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: On February 6, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev chaired a crucial meeting to discuss the development plans for Uzbekistan’s chemical industry in 2025. The session focused on the ongoing transformation within the sector, aimed at boosting investment and technological advancement.

In recent years, the chemical industry has undergone significant changes, opening up vast opportunities for attracting investments into modern technological chains. Despite this progress, the performance of major chemical enterprises has not yet fully aligned with international standards. The President addressed these concerns and identified several pressing issues facing the industry.

A key focus of the discussion was the need to accelerate the implementation of advanced technologies in chemical enterprises. The President emphasized that such advancements are essential for increasing the added value within the sector and ensuring its competitiveness on a global scale.

President Mirziyoyev highlighted existing challenges, including underutilized reserves and operational inefficiencies, urging the swift introduction of high-tech investment projects to address these gaps. To meet these objectives, the government was tasked with tackling industry problems and unlocking the full potential of the sector through strategic initiatives.

Additionally, the President called for the widespread adoption of digital technologies across chemical enterprises. He underscored the importance of maximizing production capacity utilization, improving energy efficiency, and reducing overall production costs to enhance the industry’s sustainability and long-term growth.

The meeting reinforced the government’s commitment to supporting the chemical industry and driving forward key initiatives to establish a more modern, competitive, and efficient sector in Uzbekistan.
