Azerbaijan Advances Great Return with Resettlement of Families in Khankendi, Khojaly and Aghdara

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Another phase of Azerbaijan’s Great Return program has been completed, with families relocated to residential settlements and villages in Khankendi, Khojaly district and Aghdara district, in line with directives issued by President Ilham Aliyev.
As part of the latest resettlement phase, 8 families comprising 36 people were relocated to Karkijahan settlement in the city of Khankendi.
In Khojaly district, 5 families totaling 13 people were resettled in Badara village, while 4 families comprising 10 people moved to Khanyurdu. A further 8 families, or 31 people, were relocated to Khanabad, 3 families totaling 8 people to Ballija, and 14 families comprising 71 people to Tazabina village.
In Aghdara district, 12 families comprising 36 people were relocated to Kolatagh village, while 6 families totaling 30 people moved to Hasanriz. Another 12 families comprising 49 people were resettled in Ashaghi Oratagh, and 15 families comprising 51 people in Chapar village.
The latest phase represents another step in Azerbaijan’s ongoing efforts to restore and repopulate territories affected by the conflict, rebuild residential infrastructure and facilitate the return of citizens to their ancestral communities.
The Great Return program encompasses the reconstruction of residential areas, public infrastructure and social facilities, with the government continuing to create the necessary conditions for the sustainable return and integration of displaced families.
