President Erdoğan Attends Azerbaijani Performance Showcasing Karabakh Horses at Ethnosport Festival

Istanbul, The Gulf Observer: The 7th Ethnosport Culture Festival, a celebration of traditional sports and cultural heritage of the Turkic world, continues in Istanbul with vibrant daily programs emphasizing unity, identity, and shared legacy among Turkic nations.

On May 24, the Azerbaijani delegation delivered a spectacular performance titled “Victory”, which captivated the audience with its rich display of Azerbaijani equestrian heritage and national culture. The performance was attended by President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan.

Organized by the Equestrian Federation of Azerbaijan, the program featured a 130-member delegation and 20 Karabakh horses — a symbol of Azerbaijan’s equestrian legacy. The presentation combined ancient Turkic traditions with Azerbaijani national music and dance, highlighting the deep cultural and historical bonds across the Turkic world.

The show offered a vivid portrayal of horsemanship, valor, and national pride, drawing enthusiastic praise from the Turkish President and First Lady. The performance concluded to a standing ovation, reflecting the audience’s strong appreciation for the cultural richness and artistry on display.

The Azerbaijani delegation is set to perform once more on May 25 as part of the festival’s closing program, further underlining Azerbaijan’s significant contribution to the promotion of ethnosport and shared Turkic heritage.
