Myanmar-China Mark 75 Years of Diplomatic Ties with Diamond Jubilee Friendship Music Concert in Yangon

Yangon, The Gulf Observer: The “Diamond Jubilee Myanmar-China Friendship Music Concert”, commemorating the 75th Anniversary of Myanmar-China Diplomatic Relations, was held with grandeur at the MRTV Auditorium in Yangon on Monday evening.

The event was graced by Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, regional ministers, and Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ms Ma Jia. Also in attendance were representatives from the Myanmar Press Council, the film, theatrical, music, and comedian fraternities, the China-Myanmar Friendship Association, Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce, China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar, students from Yangon University of Foreign Languages (YUFL), youth from Yangon Region Youth Centre, and Chinese media outlets.

The concert opened with a performance of the classical Yaykin melody by the MRTV Myanmar Orchestra. A total of 11 artistes, including MRTV and external performers, entertained the audience with a blend of Myanmar and Chinese songs, symbolizing the cultural harmony between the two nations.

In a gesture of goodwill, Mr Liu Ming, President of the China Enterprises Chamber of Commerce in Myanmar, presented a donation of 1,500 bags of cement to Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn, aimed at supporting the reconstruction efforts of the Ministry of Information following recent earthquake damage.

The concert not only celebrated a significant diplomatic milestone but also served to deepen cultural ties and strengthen the longstanding friendship between Myanmar and China.
