President Shavkat Mirziyoyev Holds Talks with President Vladimir Putin in Beijing

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: A meeting was held between the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, on the sidelines of high-level events in Beijing.

At the outset of the talks, President Putin warmly congratulated President Mirziyoyev and the people of Uzbekistan on the occasion of Independence Day, extending best wishes for well-being, sustainable development, and prosperity.

Discussions focused on expanding and strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance between Uzbekistan and Russia, particularly in the context of implementing agreements reached during previous high-level contacts.

Both leaders underlined the importance of taking coordinated measures to maintain the positive momentum in trade, economic, and investment cooperation. Special attention was given to expediting the preparation and implementation of joint projects in priority sectors of the economy, as well as encouraging cooperative ties between regions, including through established joint industrial parks.

The sides also expressed deep satisfaction with the fruitful humanitarian cooperation, especially in the fields of culture, art, science, and education.

In addition, President Mirziyoyev and President Putin exchanged views on a number of issues on the international agenda.
