Iran Unveils First AI-Powered Legal Robot to Provide Public Legal Guidance

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iran has introduced its first artificial intelligence-powered legal robot, designed to assist citizens by offering accurate and accessible legal guidance. The unveiling ceremony was attended by judicial officials and members of the legal community, according to TV BRICS.
The system was developed by Iranian innovators Mehdi Esmaeili and Mohammad Vahedi. Trained on the country’s legal frameworks, the robot is capable of responding precisely to a wide range of legal questions, Pars Today reported.
Esmaeili emphasized that the robot’s interface has been created to ensure simplicity and accessibility, enabling individuals with no legal background to benefit from the technology. Vahedi added that rapid advances in social, educational, economic, and scientific fields are reshaping the practice of law, making artificial intelligence applications increasingly relevant.
According to the developers, the AI tool can analyze legal documents and case histories at unprecedented speed, providing efficient support for both the public and professionals.
The launch reflects broader global trends in the adoption of AI-driven services. A recent study noted that many socially isolated individuals prefer interacting with robots over humans in certain service contexts, underscoring the growing role of AI in addressing human needs.
Officials highlighted that the legal robot represents an important step toward modernizing Iran’s legal services and expanding public access to justice.
