President Aliyev Highlights Azerbaijan’s Role in Peacebuilding, Joins Board of Peace

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has formally accepted an invitation from U.S. President Donald Trump for Azerbaijan to join the Board of Peace as a founding member state.

In his letter to President Trump, President Aliyev expressed gratitude for the invitation, describing it as a symbol of the “mutually respectful and beneficial partnership between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the United States of America.” He noted that Azerbaijan’s participation reflects its commitment to promoting peace and stability at both regional and global levels.

President Aliyev affirmed that Azerbaijan will contribute to the Board of Peace’s mission, particularly by supporting efforts to end the conflict in Gaza and work toward a safer and more prosperous future for all those affected by the prolonged conflict.

He added that he believes the Board of Peace will serve as an effective international organization capable of fulfilling its mission successfully. President Aliyev concluded his letter by extending his appreciation for President Trump’s visionary leadership and peace-building initiatives, offering best wishes for success in his role as Chairman of the Board of Peace.
