Leyla Aliyeva Meets Afghan Women’s Rights Activist Zarqa Yaftali in Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: On February 5, Leyla Aliyeva met with Afghan women’s rights activist and researcher Zarqa Yaftali in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
During the meeting, Leyla Aliyeva highlighted that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been implementing numerous large-scale projects in the fields of education, healthcare and social support for many years. She noted that these initiatives have contributed to creating equal opportunities for vulnerable segments of the population, both regionally and internationally.
Discussions focused on potential areas of cooperation between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Women and Children Legal Research Foundation. It was noted that the foundation headed by Zarqa Yaftali has enabled more than 100,000 women and children to gain access to education and legal protection through its activities.
The meeting underscored shared objectives in implementing global humanitarian initiatives and emphasized the importance of safeguarding women’s rights and ensuring access to sustainable education.
