Jordan’s King Abdullah II Reaffirms Support for Lebanon’s Security and Sovereignty

Amman, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan met with Lebanese President Gen. Joseph Aoun in Paris on Wednesday ahead of the latest round of Aqaba Process meetings scheduled for Thursday, focusing on ways to support the Lebanese Armed Forces.
During the meeting, King Abdullah reaffirmed Jordan’s solidarity with Lebanon and its continued support for preserving the country’s security, stability and sovereignty, according to a Royal Court statement.
The Jordanian monarch stressed the need to end Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory and underscored the importance of safeguarding Lebanon’s security and stability.
President Joseph Aoun expressed his appreciation for Jordan’s position under King Abdullah’s leadership in support of Lebanon and its people.
He also commended Jordan’s continued efforts and solidarity with Lebanon, highlighting the Kingdom’s ongoing support for the Lebanese people.
The meeting took place ahead of the Aqaba Process discussions, which are aimed at addressing measures to strengthen support for the Lebanese Armed Forces and contribute to Lebanon’s security and stability.
