Azerbaijan, Pakistan Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Security, Welcome U.S.-Iran Ceasefire

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, held a telephone conversation with Mohammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, to discuss the prevailing regional security situation.

During the call, the two leaders exchanged views on recent developments in the region, particularly in the context of the ceasefire reached between the United States and Iran. Minister Bayramov welcomed the ceasefire, describing it as a significant step toward reducing tensions, enhancing stability, and improving the humanitarian situation.

The Azerbaijani foreign minister commended Pakistan’s important role in facilitating the ceasefire, highlighting the country’s constructive engagement and diplomatic efforts. He also appreciated Pakistan’s principled and consistent stance on regional issues.

Minister Bayramov expressed hope for positive outcomes from the forthcoming talks scheduled in Islamabad, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and confidence-building measures between the concerned parties to ensure lasting peace and stability.

The conversation also covered a range of regional and international issues of mutual interest, including further strengthening the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
