Sharjah Poetry House Hosts Literary Evening Featuring Poets from Iraq, UAE and Saudi Arabia

Sharjah, The Gulf Observer: The Poetry House in Sharjah organised a distinguished poetry evening on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, featuring renowned poets Ali Al Emara from Iraq, Talal Al Junaibi from the UAE, and Turki Al Muaini from Saudi Arabia.
The event was attended by a large gathering of critics, poets, and poetry enthusiasts, alongside Mohammed Abdullah Al Breiki, Director of the Poetry House.
The evening was presented by poet Aya Wahbi, who opened the programme by expressing gratitude to Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his continued support and patronage of literature and culture.
The poetic readings began with Ali Al Emara, who presented a text rich in symbolism and literary depth, drawing inspiration from the historic journey of the famed Arab poet Imru’ Al Qais to Caesar.
Talal Al Junaibi followed with a patriotic poem titled Fragrance of the Union, through which he expressed pride in the United Arab Emirates, highlighting the nation’s achievements, resilience, and unity.
The evening concluded with Turki Al Muaini, whose poetic style was marked by linguistic strength and artistic elegance. His recitation, titled A Crime Against Spring, evoked various human and Islamic symbols woven into expressive poetic imagery.
At the conclusion of the event, Mohammed Abdullah Al Breiki honoured the participating poets as well as the evening’s presenter in recognition of their literary contributions.
