Sheikha Latifa Explores Innovation, AI and Knowledge Partnerships During Sweden Visit

Stockholm, The Gulf Observer: Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture), held a series of high-level meetings and visited leading Swedish institutions during an official visit to Sweden, where she is leading a delegation of ministers and senior government officials from the United Arab Emirates.

The meetings focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation, exchanging expertise across key sectors, and exploring opportunities for long-term partnerships that support knowledge transfer and the development of future policies and initiatives.

The delegation included Reem Al Hashimy, Maryam Al Hammadi, and Hessa Buhumaid, among other officials.

During the visit, Sheikha Latifa met with Swedish business leader Marcus Wallenberg to discuss major global economic trends, innovation and investment opportunities, and the role of the private sector in advancing sustainable development and strengthening economic competitiveness. The discussions also explored opportunities in future-focused sectors and strategies for attracting talent and high-impact investments.

The UAE delegation also visited Lovable, a rapidly growing artificial intelligence company specializing in building applications and websites through text-based prompts. During the visit, Sheikha Latifa was briefed on the company’s latest technologies and its use of AI to streamline software development and accelerate innovation. She also reviewed the company’s vision for expanding AI capabilities to empower entrepreneurs and support the digital economy.

As part of the visit, Sheikha Latifa toured the Nobel Prize Museum, where she learned about efforts to document the achievements of Nobel laureates and highlight the contributions of scientists, innovators and creative figures from around the world. Discussions also focused on the museum’s role in promoting scientific culture and fostering research and innovation as drivers of societal progress.

The delegation further visited KTH Innovation, the innovation hub of the KTH Royal Institute of Technology. During the visit, Sheikha Latifa reviewed the centre’s innovation model, which supports researchers, students and entrepreneurs in transforming ideas and research into startups and projects with tangible economic and social impact.

The visit underscored the UAE’s commitment to strengthening international partnerships in innovation, technology, culture and sustainable development while drawing on global best practices to support future growth and competitiveness.
