Azerbaijan, TRNC Prime Ministers Discuss Expanding Bilateral Cooperation

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov held a meeting with Prime Minister of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Ünal Üstel, on June 13 to discuss the strengthening of bilateral relations and prospects for expanded cooperation across multiple sectors.

During the meeting, the two prime ministers welcomed the growing momentum of high-level contacts between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. They also commended the continued development of interparliamentary relations and cooperation between the political parties of both sides.

The leaders highlighted the significance of organizing the Days of Culture of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in Baku, describing the initiative as an important step in deepening cultural and humanitarian ties.

Both sides praised the implementation of the cultural event as a natural continuation of the steadily expanding cooperation between Azerbaijan and the TRNC in recent years, particularly in the fields of culture and people-to-people exchanges.

The prime ministers also underscored the successful development of cooperation within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). They noted the active participation of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus in the activities of the organization as an observer state and emphasized the importance of strengthening collaboration among Turkic nations.

In addition, the two officials exchanged views on opportunities to further enhance bilateral cooperation in a range of sectors, reaffirming their commitment to advancing mutually beneficial relations between Azerbaijan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

The meeting reflected the continued efforts of both sides to deepen political, cultural, and economic engagement and to explore new avenues of partnership in the years ahead.
