Azerbaijan, Slovakia Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthening Strategic Partnership

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini on Tuesday to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation and advancing the strategic partnership between the two countries.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Asadov emphasized that President Pellegrini’s official visit to Azerbaijan, along with the talks held between the two countries’ heads of state in Shusha, would provide significant momentum to the further development of Azerbaijan-Slovakia relations.
The Azerbaijani premier underscored the importance of Slovak companies’ participation in the restoration and reconstruction of Azerbaijan’s liberated territories, particularly highlighting the construction of the Bash Garvand village in the Aghdam district as a key example of bilateral cooperation.
Prime Minister Asadov also highly appreciated Slovakia’s initiative to build a secondary school in Bash Garvand village as a gift to the people of Azerbaijan, expressing sincere gratitude for the valuable contribution to the country’s reconstruction and educational development.
Both sides welcomed the steady progress in cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including political dialogue, trade, economic and investment relations, energy, transport, humanitarian affairs, and other areas of mutual interest.
The meeting concluded with discussions on opportunities to further deepen bilateral cooperation and implement new joint projects, reaffirming the shared commitment of Azerbaijan and Slovakia to strengthening their strategic partnership and expanding collaboration for mutual benefit.
