Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Morocco has signed an agreement governing its participation in the International Stabilization Force (ISF) in Gaza, reaffirming the Kingdom’s commitment to supporting regional peace, security, and international stability.

The agreement, signed on Wednesday during the visit of Gaza Peace Council High Representative Nickolay Mladenov to Rabat, establishes the legal framework regulating the technical and operational aspects of Morocco’s involvement in the multinational peace mission.

In accordance with the high instructions of King Mohammed VI, Morocco’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Nasser Bourita and Minister Delegate in charge of National Defense Administration Abdeltif Loudyi received Mladenov at the headquarters of the National Defense Administration.

Under the agreement, Morocco will contribute senior officers from the Royal Armed Forces to the ISF Joint Command, personnel from the Royal Gendarmerie and the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN), and establish a military field hospital to support humanitarian and stabilization efforts in Gaza.

The meeting was attended by the Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR) and Commander of the Southern Zone, the Commander of the Royal Gendarmerie, alongside senior representatives from the Gaza Peace Council and the ISF leadership.

According to a statement issued by Morocco’s National Defense Administration, the visit reflects the Kingdom’s commitment as a founding member of the Gaza Peace Council, in line with the directives of King Mohammed VI issued during the council’s inaugural meeting in Washington, chaired by U.S. President Donald Trump.

During the discussions, the Moroccan delegation emphasized that its participation in the ISF is rooted in the country’s longstanding commitment to the principles of peace, cooperation, and international solidarity. Officials highlighted Morocco’s extensive experience in United Nations peacekeeping missions and its continued regional and international efforts to promote peace and stability in the Middle East.

The delegation also underscored the King’s initiatives aimed at strengthening regional integration, enhancing security, and promoting sustainable social development.

Senior officials from the Gaza Peace Council and the ISF welcomed Morocco’s decision to join the peace initiative, praising the Kingdom’s planned military, security, and humanitarian contributions as an important step toward supporting stability and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
