Tokayev Attends Festive Concert Marking Kazakhstan’s Republic Day
Astana, The Gulf Observer: Kazakhstan’s Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev attended a festive concert in Astana celebrating the country’s Republic Day, according to the Akorda press service.
The concert, titled “Zhana Dauir – Zhana Beles” (A New Era – A New Milestone), was held at the Astana Opera, bringing together prominent Kazakh artists and creative groups to mark the national occasion.
The programme featured performances by leading artists and artistic ensembles, highlighting Kazakhstan’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant artistic traditions.
Republic Day is an important national occasion in Kazakhstan, commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of State Sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR on October 25, 1990, a landmark step in the country’s journey towards independence.
The concert formed part of the celebrations honouring the country’s statehood, national identity and cultural achievements.
