President of Uzbekistan to visit Kazakhstan

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Kazakhstan on Wednesday.

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will visit Kazakhstan on Wednesday, Presidential spokesperson, Sherzod Asadov, said at a briefing on Monday.

According to Asadov, on Tuesday, Shavkat Mirziyoyev will receive the head of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, who is on a visit to Uzbekistan. The meeting provides for discussion of issues related to the enrichment of interregional cooperation with new content and specific projects, as well as the further acceleration of ongoing joint cooperation programs.

On October 12-14, the President will visit Kazakhstan to attend a meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia, a regular meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State, and the Central Asia-Russia summit.

As part of the visit, bilateral meetings are planned with the leaders of foreign countries, including Vice President of Vietnam Vo Thi Anh Xuan and Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif, as well as with heads of a number of international organizations.
