Indonesian President arrives in Bangkok for APEC Summit

Bangkok, The Gulf Observer: Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) and his entourage landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok, Thailand, for the APEC Summit on Thursday.

Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister, Wissanu Krea-ngam, and his wife; Indonesian Ambassador to Thailand Rachmat Budiman and his wife; and the Indonesian defense attaché in Bangkok, Yesi Kristian Mambu, welcomed President Widodo and his entourage upon their arrival.

Immediately after landing at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Widodo and his entourage proceeded to their hotel in Bangkok.

The President and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo were scheduled to attend a dinner for leaders and delegates attending the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit on Thursday evening.

On Friday (November 18, 2022), the President is scheduled to join the 29th APEC Summit, which will end on Saturday (November 19).

The APEC Summit is the latest in a series of important meetings attended by President Widodo following the 40th and 41st ASEAN Summits in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, and the G20 Summit in Bali.
