Saudi female lawyer appointed at UN Secretary-General’s office
Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Saudi female lawyer Jood Al-Harthi has been appointed in the position of Political Affairs Officer in the office of the UN Secretary-General António Guterres.
Al-Harthi was able to assume the position after a successful scientific and practical career. She had previously worked in the Office of Political Affairs and Peacebuilding at the United Nations.
Moreover, She also represented the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC) at the Geneva International Conference of OIC, as well as her participation in another conference of OIC for youth in Europe.
She studied international law and political affairs at Swansea University in Britain. While she obtained great experience in various offices in several countries, such as her training in the UN office in Riyadh, the Federal Court in California, and a number of international law firms in Britain, US and the UAE.
It is noteworthy that Al-Harthi devoted her studies to serve humanitarian causes in the world through her position as a participating lawyer at the UN Department of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs (DPPA) in New York.
