Tuvalu’s Minister of Justice inaugurates country's embassy in Abu Dhabi.

ABU DHABI, TGO: Simon Kofe, Minister for Justice, Communication and Foreign Affairs of Tuvalu, inaugurated his country’s embassy in Abu Dhabi, in the presence of Abdullah Al Bulooki, Assistant Under-Secretary for Protocol Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, senior officials from the ministry, Aunese Makoi Simati, Ambassador of Tuvalu to the UAE, and a number of diplomats.

During the event, Kofe lauded UAE-Tuvalu ties, noting that the inauguration of Tuvalu’s embassy is a key move that will strengthen the relations between the two countries and usher in a new phase of friendship and overall cooperation.

Simati said that the inauguration of Tuvalu’s embassy in Abu Dhabi will help enhance the overall cooperation between the two countries.

He affirmed that Expo 2020 Dubai provided a distinguished opportunity for Pacific Ocean countries to strengthen their relations with the UAE and the Middle East, and lauded the UAE’s success in hosting the major event, despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Al Bulooki wished Simati success in fulfilling the duties of his new position.
