Ajman University’s Global Day 2024 Celebrates Diversity and Internationalization
Ajman, The Gulf Observer: Ajman University (AU) recently hosted its vibrant Global Day 2024, a lively and colorful event that showcased AU’s remarkable diversity and commitment to internationalization.
The event, held on campus, featured students and cultures from an impressive 70 different countries worldwide, underlining AU’s dedication to fostering an inclusive cultural environment. AU’s Global Day stands as a testament to its reputation as one of the most international higher education institutions in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and globally.
Ajman University proudly holds the third position for international students according to the QS World University Rankings 2024.
Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, expressed immense pride in AU’s status as one of the most inclusive and diverse higher education institutions globally. He highlighted the university’s active efforts to attract and recruit talented students from various nationalities and regions.
“AU Global Day is a celebration of our inclusive spirit and of the various cultures that contribute to making the AU campus an amazing repository of diversity and excellence,” stated Dr. Seghir.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from students representing over 30 countries, each hosting their country pavilions. These pavilions provided a glimpse into their heritage, traditions, cultures, and works of art. Students, dressed in traditional attire, warmly welcomed guests to experience the rich flavors of their local cuisines, showcasing the culinary diversity present on campus.
