Abdullah bin Zayed Meets Maldivian President on Sidelines of UNGA 79

New York, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE, met with President Mohamed Muizzu of the Maldives on the sidelines of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA 79) in New York.
During the meeting, H.H. Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to President Muizzu, along with his best wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the Maldives. In return, President Muizzu expressed his greetings to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and extended his hopes for further prosperity for the UAE and its people.
The discussion between the two leaders covered a wide range of issues on the UNGA 79 agenda, with a particular focus on joint cooperation across various sectors, including the economy, tourism, renewable energy, climate action, commerce, and investment.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to review bilateral cooperation within the framework of international organizations, as both sides addressed issues of mutual interest.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed emphasized the strong and growing relations between the UAE and the Maldives, reiterating the UAE’s commitment to enhancing these ties and seizing opportunities to advance the shared interests and developmental aspirations of both countries.
The meeting was attended by UAE Minister of State, Ahmed bin Ali Al Sayegh.
