In an official statement issued by the General Secretariat, the Arab League expressed hope that the ceasefire will help alleviate the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Yemen, curb military escalation, and bolster wider diplomatic initiatives aimed at ending Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip and addressing other pressing regional challenges.
The statement also underscored the urgent need to restore maritime security in the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding the uninterrupted flow of international commercial shipping through regional waters.
