Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Reaffirm Commitment to Expanding Strategic Partnership

Baku, The Gulf Observer: As part of his working visit to Tashkent, Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to discuss the further development of bilateral relations and expand cooperation across key sectors.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Ali Asadov conveyed the greetings of President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the Uzbek head of state. President Mirziyoyev expressed his gratitude for the message and requested that his own cordial greetings be passed on to President Aliyev.
Both sides welcomed the positive trajectory of relations between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan, emphasizing that ties are firmly rooted in strategic partnership and alliance. They noted that cooperation between the two countries has been steadily expanding in recent years across multiple areas of mutual interest.
The discussions focused on prospects for enhancing bilateral cooperation in trade and economic development, investment, transport and logistics, energy, and humanitarian fields, along with other sectors of shared priority. Both parties expressed readiness to further deepen engagement and strengthen practical collaboration.
The meeting reflected the strong political dialogue between Baku and Tashkent and their shared commitment to advancing comprehensive and mutually beneficial partnership relations.
