Azerbaijan Calls for Urgent Liberation of Four Villages Occupied by Armenia
Baku, The Gulf Observer: The Service of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev, has unequivocally asserted that the four non-exclave Azerbaijani villages currently under occupation by Armenia—Baghanis Ayrim, Ashagi Askipara, Kheyrimli, and Gizilhajili—undeniably belong to Azerbaijan and are poised for immediate liberation. Mustafayev addressed the media, shedding light on the ongoing meetings of the Commissions established in both Azerbaijan and Armenia to facilitate the delimitation of the state border.
In his statement, Deputy Prime Minister Mustafayev emphasized the irrefutable affiliation of the occupied villages to Azerbaijan, affirming that their liberation is a matter of paramount importance. Furthermore, Mustafayev highlighted that the issue extends to the liberation of four Azerbaijani exclave villages—Yukhari Askipara, Sofulu, Barkhudarli, and Karki—currently occupied by Armenia. He assured that the resolution of this matter is intricately woven into the ongoing delimitation process, reinforcing Azerbaijan’s commitment to reclaiming its territories.
The Deputy Prime Minister’s statement underscores Azerbaijan’s unwavering stance on territorial integrity and the steadfast pursuit of a peaceful and just resolution to the lingering border issues. The ongoing dialogues between the Commissions serve as a diplomatic channel for resolving these complex matters and fostering regional stability.
