Azerbaijan Resettles 31 Families in Khojavend as Reconstruction Efforts Continue

Khojavend, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan on Tuesday marked another milestone in its post-conflict reconstruction and resettlement program as 31 families were relocated to newly restored communities in Khojavend district and handed the keys to their new homes.

According to media reports, a total of 20 families comprising 81 people moved to the city of Khojavend, while two families with nine members were resettled in the Girmizi Bazar settlement. Additionally, five families totaling 17 people relocated to Khojavend village as part of the government’s ongoing Great Return initiative.

The key handover ceremony was attended by officials from the Office of the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in the Aghdam, Fuzuli and Khojavend districts, alongside representatives of the State Committee for Affairs of Refugees and Internally Displaced Persons.

The resettlement reflects Azerbaijan’s continued efforts to restore liberated territories, rebuild infrastructure, and facilitate the safe and dignified return of formerly displaced citizens to their ancestral homes.

The government has been steadily expanding housing, public services, and essential infrastructure across the liberated regions to support sustainable resettlement and socio-economic development under its nationwide reconstruction program.
